ARCHWAY PORTAL
A freestanding marble portal with an eroded opening, like a sea arch.
Two curving sides meet around a smooth, pierced void, as if the water had cut straight through the rock. The marble is carved by hand to order and polished, its blue-grey veining running upward along the frame. Placed in a garden or hall, it frames a view and marks a threshold with quiet weight.
