TERRACE CONSOLE
A long, stepped console in banded sandstone for halls and quiet walls.
Thick horizontal slabs are offset against one another to form a stepped profile, their ochre and cream layers running the full length. Made by hand to order from one block, its chiselled edges keep the memory of the quarry. In an entrance or along a wall, it reads as a slim shelf of ancient ground.
